CloverCast Overlay Studio V2 Beta Is Here

Overlay Studio V2 Beta is a ground-up rethink of how streamers build and run overlays in CloverCast. The new editor puts the canvas first, keeps Desktop and Web aligned, and connects visual designs to real platform data without pretending unsupported features exist.

Desktop v1.47.2 ยท Web v1.42.2

A completely rebuilt editing experience

  • A larger canvas-first workspace with Scenes, Layers, My Assets, contextual Properties, zoom, grid, snapping, safe guides, Undo/Redo, Preview and Browser Source tools.
  • Desktop and Web share the same Overlay Studio editing model so creators do not have to learn two different products.
  • Images, GIFs, SVGs, video and transparent WebM assets can be combined with live widgets and dynamic labels to build custom stream graphics.

Real widgets for real stream events

  • One configurable Alert Box can handle follows, subscribers or members, Bits/Cheers, raids and tips or donations where the selected platform supports them.
  • Alert properties include event toggles, test events, messages, duration, animation, imagery, transparent video and sound.
  • Live Chat, Event List, goals, viewer counts, uptime and platform-specific dynamic labels are part of the V2 widget system.

Every platform gets its own workspace

  • Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok scenes are isolated instead of carrying incompatible layers between platforms.
  • The Add and Labels catalogues change with the selected platform and only expose data CloverCast can genuinely source from that platform.
  • Twitch supports its follower, subscription, Bits/Cheers and raid ecosystem; YouTube uses memberships, Super Chats, Super Stickers and live chat; Kick uses its supported follower, subscription, KICK and live data surfaces; TikTok remains limited where approved LIVE API access is unavailable.

A much deeper Labels system

  • Grouped label menus make it easier to add information such as latest follower, follower totals, latest subscriber or member, latest cheer, raid, tip, Super Chat, membership gift, KICK supporter, viewer count and uptime.
  • Labels are designed to sit over imported artwork, allowing creators to build the visual design externally and let CloverCast supply the live data.
  • The available label groups automatically change with the active platform workspace.

A more stable OBS runtime

  • Live alert updates now patch the affected widget rather than rebuilding the entire Browser Source scene, preventing unrelated scene elements from flashing.
  • Alert duration is enforced in seconds and expired alerts are cleared reliably.
  • YouTube live-chat events are routed as chat data instead of generic timeline events.

What comes next

  • V2 remains a Beta because the next phase is much bigger: reusable My Assets collections, professional FREE starter content, premium PRO overlay packs and a Stream Store connected directly to scenes.
  • CloverCast is also being prepared for richer animated WebM assets, advanced webcam frames, support bars, goals, deeper design importing and future AI-assisted creative tools.
  • The goal is a studio that is approachable for a first-time streamer while still giving experienced creators the freedom to import professional artwork and connect it to live platform data.
