One connected CloverCast experience
CloverCast has grown far beyond a traditional overlay tool. Our goal is to give creators one place to design their stream, manage supported platforms and control their production workflow across Desktop and Web.
v1.81.0 continues that work with improvements across Overlay Studio, Stream Manager, pop-outs, creator partnerships and the connection between CloverCast Web and Desktop.
Overlay Studio improvements
Overlay Studio remains at the centre of the CloverCast design experience. This release refines the transform controls introduced in previous versions, making resize controls more practical across different layer types without allowing them to dominate the canvas.
- Refined resize and transform controls across supported layers.
- Continued crop support for compatible media.
- Improved typography and text-fitting behaviour for dynamic widgets.
- Better protection against text becoming oversized, undersized or clipped.
- Continued support for Custom CSS and Browser Source output.
The aim is to make stream design feel increasingly like a dedicated visual editor while keeping the resulting scenes practical for OBS.
Web โ Desktop Overlay Studio sync
v1.81.0 introduces the foundation for account-based Overlay Studio syncing between CloverCast Web and Desktop.
This is designed to create a more connected workflow: work on a CloverCast project through the Web experience, continue on Desktop at the streaming PC, and keep project data associated with the same CloverCast account.
Desktop remains local-first for resilience. Sync is being built carefully so temporary connectivity problems do not make local editing unreliable, and conflict protection can prevent one device from silently replacing newer work from another.
New Social Media Rotator
The Social Media Rotator has been redesigned around a cleaner on-stream presentation. Instead of showing every account at once, it displays one social platform at a time before transitioning to the next enabled entry.
For example, a creator can rotate from YouTube ยท @CloverCast to TikTok ยท @CloverCast and then Instagram ยท @CloverCast, with platform styling, timing and transition options.
- Individual social handles.
- Enable, disable and reorder entries.
- Configurable rotation duration and transition speed.
- Platform-inspired colours with custom styling options.
- Normal Overlay Studio positioning, resizing and scene persistence.
Chat & Events pop-outs
Sometimes creators do not need another full dashboard โ they simply need chat or events visible on another screen.
v1.81.0 adds dedicated Chat Pop-out and Events Pop-out experiences. They are designed as lightweight companion windows for multi-monitor setups, keeping supported multi-platform chat or stream activity visible while OBS and other production tools remain in focus.
Stream Manager now protects your edits
We have also addressed an annoying Stream Manager behaviour where background refreshes could interfere with channel information while it was being edited.
Editable metadata is now treated as a draft while you are working on it. CloverCast can continue refreshing live information without intentionally replacing an unfinished title, category, tag or other supported edit with the previously loaded platform value.
This gives creators a much safer workflow when preparing or updating stream information.
Partner & Agency foundations
The existing Refer & Earn system is expanding with the foundation of a dedicated Partner and Agency programme.
Approved partners can use custom referral codes with configurable commission arrangements. CloverCast can retain attribution when a referred creator later upgrades to PRO and record qualifying payments in an auditable commission ledger.
- Custom partner and agency referral codes.
- Partner approval and administration controls.
- Configurable commission percentages.
- PRO conversion and commission tracking.
- Partner reporting for referrals and commission status.
Commission tracking does not mean automatic withdrawals. Payout processing remains an administrative/accounting action while the programme develops.
Built for real streaming setups
CloverCast is designed around more than one type of creator setup.
Creators can use a traditional Single PC workflow, while CloverCast also supports a genuine Dual PC architecture for setups with separate gaming and streaming computers.
For PRO creators, OBS Live Editor provides a visual control surface for supported OBS scenes and source transforms while OBS remains the authoritative rendering, encoding and streaming engine.
Together with CloverCast Web and the Desktop Bridge, this is the foundation for managing supported parts of a stream without being permanently tied to the streaming PC's main display.
Multi-platform by design
CloverCast is being built as a multi-platform stream manager, with support centred around Twitch, YouTube and Kick and functionality determined by the capabilities each platform officially exposes.
TikTok remains an important part of the CloverCast roadmap. We are deliberately waiting for the appropriate official TikTok LIVE API access rather than depending on an unofficial service simply to claim functionality that cannot be supported properly.
The planned TikTok LIVE experience will build on the same CloverCast ecosystem when the required official access becomes available.
What comes after v1.81.0?
For a while, the answer is deliberately: less feature chasing and more real-world testing.
CloverCast now has a substantial feature set. The next priority is making sure complete creator journeys are reliable โ connecting platforms, setting up OBS, building overlays, receiving real events, using Browser Sources, editing remotely, recovering from disconnects and reopening projects without losing work.
We will also be putting more focus into onboarding, documentation, tutorials and creator feedback. The best next features should increasingly come from what creators actually need during real streams.
A major CloverCast milestone
Our goal has never been to build another website that only gives creators a few overlays.
We want CloverCast to become the place where creators can design their stream, manage their supported platforms and control their production workflow without stitching together a pile of separate tools.
v1.81.0 gets us another big step closer.
Design it. Control it. Manage it. From anywhere.
