A full editor direction
- The goal is not to recreate every OBS control inside CloverCast. Overlay Studio is becoming a dedicated visual composition and stream-design workspace, while OBS remains the capture, encoding and streaming engine.
- Scenes can continue to combine CloverCast widgets, imported media and creator designs, with the canvas becoming the primary way those elements are arranged and edited.
- This release establishes the interaction foundation needed for deeper canvas, layer and scene workflows in future releases.
What is new in v1.67.0
- Shift-click multi-selection makes it possible to work with more than one canvas element at a time.
- Grouping and ungrouping provide a foundation for treating related design elements as a unit, including grouped movement.
- Alignment controls, horizontal and vertical centering, and fit-to-canvas actions make common layout tasks quicker and more precise.
- Layers can be reordered by drag and drop, with stronger selection feedback and improved touch transform handles for the editing workflow.
Built without throwing away Overlay Studio
- Existing scenes, widgets, My Assets, Stream Designs, Browser Sources and platform-isolated workspaces remain part of the editor.
- Autosave and recovery behaviour remains important to the editor foundation, along with the existing FREE and PRO entitlement handling.
- The OBS Live Editor remains available separately for supported live OBS scene control; the Full Editor direction is focused on designing CloverCast compositions rather than adding an OBS audio mixer or attempting to clone OBS.
Desktop first, touch where it makes sense
- Desktop and laptop remain the home of the complete editing experience.
- Tablet editing continues toward a touch-friendly Lite Editor experience with larger interaction targets.
- Phones keep the dedicated Live Control Deck approach for scene switching and quick stream actions instead of squeezing a 1920ร1080 editor onto a small display.
What comes next
- The next Full Editor work is aimed at richer selection bounds, stronger multi-layer transforms, smart alignment guides, distribution and spacing tools, deeper layer hierarchy and context actions.
- Shapes, richer typography and media controls can then build on the same editor foundation rather than becoming separate disconnected tools.
- Layered PSD import remains planned only and will not be described as shipped until a real layer-aware importer has been implemented and validated.
TikTok LIVE remains on the official path
- CloverCast continues to support its existing approved TikTok workflows, but real-time TikTok LIVE gifts, chat and event features are not being simulated or implemented through unofficial third-party dependencies.
- The planned TikTok LIVE Studio remains dependent on obtaining appropriate official TikTok LIVE access. Development of the core CloverCast editor can continue independently while that approval path is resolved.
